CMash:

It is Cheryl's duty to:

• Make bi-weekly posts
• Congratulate/Admonish the followers as appropriate
• Stock the Depends
• Smile & do a parade wave!

Gina:

It is Gina's duty to:

• Enter challenges
• Read books
• Irritate Cheryl
• Cause Cheryl to need the depends
• Email Cheryl when she's shirking her duties

Oh, My!!

I just spent a few minutes going through all 24, uhh, yes, 24 of the challenges I'd entered to make sure that I had actually entered them. Occasionally I forget to go back & link my post after I create it. Well, apparently, more than occasionally since at least half weren't completed. What an airhead I am...

Anyway, all that just to remind you that many of the Linky's/sign-up forms end at midnight to review your challenges to make sure you've actually signed up!!

Has anyone completed a challenge? Are you making progress? I think I'm doing well... if only I could stop adding more...

Have you seen A Novel Challenge?  They just keep adding challenges after challenges!!  It's a conspiracy, I tell you!!!  And sombody please, PLEASE tell me...why oh why do I keep visiting that blog....I just can't seem to stop myself!!!! 

Well...part of the reason I go there is to see if Bev, Senora G, Misha and all the other addicts are there, but the other times, I just want to see all the new challenges added!!!

I take my job of being a cohost very serious, I have a huge responsibility to my fellow addicts to let them know that there are .....are you sitting down?....I'll wait......hurry up a bit....I'm supposed to be at a Read-A-Thon....that's how serious I take my job.......ok...you all settled now?   ok....where was I......yes that I take this serious..

No..that wasn' it..I already said that....senior moment alert....oh I remember now......There are NEW CHALLENGES posted......Yes...I swear it's a conspiracy.  But I thought I needed to share this new information, especially since, I have my eye on one of them and don't want to be the only one signing up so I thought I would bring a few of you down with me   lol.    Some are year long, some mini ones, which is the one I should be doing now.  And since I believe in sharing, you can check them out here:  A Novel Challenge.    I'm thinking I will sign up for the Dewey Read-A-Thon but right after I post this I have to get into the recliner and read because I signed up for the Winter Respite Read-A-Thon.  So my bloggy addicts, have you slipped a few more challenges in without telling us....come on... spill it.   lol

Oh, Me! Oh, My! What have I done?

You know, I'm constantly teasing Cheryl because she's gotten herself into so many challenges. Yet, this morning, I realized that I've already agreed to 16.

16!?!? Sure, most of them are cross-overs (I'm praying!!) but still! And this doesn't even include the seasonal challenges.

What was I thinking? Maybe an intervention is in order... Cheryl - HELP!!!

Winter's Respite Read-a-Thon

Not satisfied with having signed up for fourteen reading challenges, I am now going to sign up for The True Book Addict's Winter Respite Read-a-Thon. Of course, signing up for the read-a-thon should help me with my challenges, right? Because it's supposed to encourage me to read, read, read and therefore I will finish challenges more quickly, right?

Here are the basics:
The read-a-thon will last from Monday, January 17 at 12 am until Sunday, January 23 at 11:59 pm (adjust your time zone as appropriate, our hostess is on central time).

You can sign up and participate at any time during the read-a-thon...this is a flexible event. I hope you will join me for a week of reading fun!

Yes!!!!  They are coming out of the woodwork and standing proud!!!  So lets give them a warm group hug and welcome them!!!

You can let them know what a crazy, nutty, fun bunch we are.  That this is a challenge like no other challenge!!!  Don't you agree?    And what other challenge cohost will trudge through feet of snow,

to bring it's members hot coffee and donuts from Dunkin Donuts on a Sunday morning.....

ok...so they are virtual...but it's the thought that counts....right?   Ohhhh come on...don't be mad, now that you have a craving for a jelly stick, or maybe a coffe bun or maybe a chocolate covered doughnut with sprinkles or my favorite, a blueberry muffin.  Hey...and just think...Zero...Nada....Zip....calories.  So see.  I am also thinking of your health too!!!!  Oh hubby!!!!  HUBBY!!   Calling hubby...would you please take a drive to D&D and pick me up a blueberry muffin!!!  TTYS!!  Need to let hubby know what I want from D&D.  GL with challenges!!!

What Was I Thinking?

OMG!!!!  What did I do??  I thought I was so organized!!!  I had it all under control!!!  No problemo!!!  Created a page on blogger just for my challenges (organized...right?)  Created spreadsheet on computer (organized.....right?)    Wrong!!!  Huge Mistake!!!  In Trouble!!!  Help!!!!!  Didn't think that I had to put the book in 18 different places!!!!!!  This is me after adding my first book to each and every challenge it crosses over to on the challenge page and spreadsheet.

Not only am I a Challenge Addict but I can now add this to my personality traits.

Hi Everyone...Welcome New Members

WOW  There are a lot of Challenge Addicts in Bloggy Land and Gina and I aren't the only ones!!!  Welcome! Welcome! Welcome!  Come on in and  introduce yourself.  Gina and I want to make this a fun challenge, make new book bloggy friends, have some laughs with others and even at ourself.  I know I have been laughing at myself since the beginning of December.  I promised myself that I WAS NOT going to do a lot of challenges in 2011.  But did I listen?  (Now I understand why my boys never listened to me).  Not only did I sign up for more challenges (18) so far, 2 of them I am cohosting.  So, stop by often, let us know how you are doing, what progress you are making, and more importantly, if you hear of any new challenges!!!  Hey...at this point....if you are wearing the Challenge Addict Badge, why not add a few more challenges, right?  To help motivate everyone, how about we have a giveaway for the person who completes one of their challenges first!!  Just what you needed....another book.  But maybe it just might be a book you need for another challenge.  So get back to reading.

Hi Everyone!!!
Wanted to see how everyone was doing.  Wanted to let you know that I have checked all over the world for a Challenge Addicts Anon Chapter and there isn't one, so you have come to the right place  lol!!!.  Now that we have admitted we are Challenge Addicts and wearing our badge proudly, I was just curious as to how many challenges you have signed up for as of today ( or should I say this minute) because we all know that can change any time.  As of yesterday......year long 2011 challenges that I have signed up for are:

Plus another one that is a perpetual challenge.  Gina and I have also signed up for Bloggiesta, so am thinking, that is another one too.  And let's not forget all the mini challenges that will occur throughout the year.  Which brings me to a huge favor to ask.  If you come across any Read-A-Thons, mini challenges, etc., etc., please, pretty please, rush right over here and post about it so that all of us in the group will know about it!!!  OK..it's your turn...go ahead...you can do it....I know you can.....lol .....how many!!!

My name is Cheryl, aka CMash, and I am a Challenge Addict!!  (phew...I said it!!!)  I know you must be completely shocked by this announcement lol.

Gina has been teasing me about all the challenges I signed up for (shhhhh....don't tell...but...have you seen her list? .....she thinks I haven't seen how many she signed up for!!!!)  And then Julie, another friend, from Reading Without Restraint  has told me I'm crazy (nice friend...huh? lol.....except...she has signed up for 1 or 2 less than me  lol).  And then Kate from The Midnight Book Club commented on my blog that she loved the badge and thought I should host this challenge.  So at this rate what's one more?
