What Was I Thinking?

OMG!!!!  What did I do??  I thought I was so organized!!!  I had it all under control!!!  No problemo!!!  Created a page on blogger just for my challenges (organized...right?)  Created spreadsheet on computer (organized.....right?)    Wrong!!!  Huge Mistake!!!  In Trouble!!!  Help!!!!!  Didn't think that I had to put the book in 18 different places!!!!!!  This is me after adding my first book to each and every challenge it crosses over to on the challenge page and spreadsheet.
Not only am I a Challenge Addict but I can now add this to my personality traits.

  1. maybe you can rename the last category of your challenge to the "knucklehead category". :D

  3. HA! That's why I keep asking 'How the heck do we have time to track these?'
What are we going to do? This is going to be another full time job!

  4. Hi!
This is hilarious! Love the pictures you posted for this. I'm the same way. I have my challenges all over the internet and in a paper trail as well. It could turn into a major job keeping up with all of them. Have a great day!

  5. I am only going to update my challenges once a month. After I finish a book, I 1) write and schedule the review on my blog, 2) add the book to my spreadsheet, 3) update my 75 book Challenge thread at LibraryThing, and 4) update GoodReads.

I plan to do one post a month listing all the challenges and the books I read for each. I can get that data off my spreadsheet. My only hang-up is remembering which challenges want me to post reviews on the hosting site. I suppose I can always go and hook up all the reviews at the end of the month. I'll be updating my progress bars at the end of each month too.

It doesn't seem so bad now. We'll see how it goes at the end of January.

  6. Kaye: You mean to tell me there is someone who added more challenges than I did...where are they...I want to shake their hand!!!!! (and find out how the heck they are going to get it done lol)

Misha...hmmmmmm have to think about this one ....not sure if this is a compliment or not LMAO!!

Julie: YW I aim to please...and in return...would you mind being my challenge secretary!!!????

Gina: My (I thought) sane cohost....NOW you ask? A bit late...don't you think? lol.

Sherrie: You sound like me. Hubby asked why there were notes on the toilet paper this morning...told him too long to explain lol.

Kathy: You seem like the only one who has it under control...OK group....I call for a Group Vote. Raise your hand if you think Kathy should keep track of our challenges too! Counting 1 hand, 2 hand, 3 hand, 4 hand Kathy....job is yours!!!!

  7. I've got this challenge tracking thing beat. Given that it looks like I am NEVER going to finish EMMA by Jane Austen, I don't have to worry about it. Can't finish a book, won't be finishing any challenges--bingo! Tracking problem solved.

Somebody needs to go back in time and tell Jane to shut up already. (And, honest, people, I like Austen. But EMMA is taking forever.)

  8. I'm actually feeling pretty calm about this whole thing. I have links to all of the challenges on my blog, and one ticker counting down how many books I still have to read. Pretty simple. Then again, I don't have as many challenges as you! =)

  9. calm? you must not have signed up for enough, E! We'll need to work on you more!

  10. Bev: We give you permission. Emma can go toward a challenge in 2815. See...we settled that problem

Elizabeth: I agree with my very smart, computer angel smart, perfect soccer mom of 3 that travels the globe year round for tournaments, challenge addict not so smart cohost....we most definitely can change your calm status....give us about 20 minutes!!!! lol

  11. Elizabeth: Absolutely with our lovely hostesses on this one...if you're feeling calm, you don't have enough challenges. We need to fix that.

Cheryl: I appreciate the assist with Emma...but she's been on my TBR list for so long, I really want to get her out of my hair. That way in 2815 I can read any Austens I haven't gotten to yet....

  14. I am having the same problem but on a much smaller scale since I have some self control and only have 9 challenges. I finished two books so far.

My problem last year was tracking and thats why I fell on my face and gave up.

  15. Elizabeth:
Did you say next year? Next year? ROFLMAO!!! Next year? Hey everybody..this girl has confidence in us that there will be a next year!!! I'm hoping to get through this month LMAO!!! And at my age????? I think I am going to have to invest in that medlife line necklace.

Senora G: No No No...No giving up here...not with this group...no can do...we set this challenge up to help with copleteing challenges and having fun while doing them. Post what problems you think you and/or are having and we will try to help. Oooops Gina...I think we forgot to mention something important...oh well....Gina and I forgot to mention that if you give up you have to buy each and every one of us a Kindle, a Nook and a Sony Ereader.....I bet that got your attention LOL....Now back to those challenges troops!!!!!
